Our self adhesive cut vinyls are backed with a permanent adhesive that sticks to all kinds of smooth surfaces, including interior emulsion walls, glass and vehicle exteriors. The adhesive is completely weatherproof and will last for years whether used indoors or out.
Flexible self adhesive cut vinyl, in more ways than one
To produce a cut vinyl, we take a roll of coloured vinyl (see below for the range of colours) and run it through our precision cutter / plotter. The cutter cuts out shapes as dictated by the artwork that we send to it (usually words and logo shapes). The unwanted vinyl is then weeded away and an application sheet stuck over it so it can be mounted to a wall, sign or vehicle without having to worry about lining up all the individual letters.
The adhesive on the back of the vinyl is completely clear, so works great on a window – the colour shows perfectly no matter which side of the window you’re looking at it from. We can cut a design in reverse to suit the side of the window it will be seen from.
Cut self-adhesive vinyl is great for:
- Interior signage – it’ll stick to any smooth, clean wall
- Window signage – people can still see through the window and the design can be made to work from both sides
- Vehicle graphics – the low cost way to put signage on your van without an expensive wrap
Pick your colour
We offer a FREE design service with all our products. Simply place your order and then email info@myvinylfrontier.com the details you would like included on the designs. Please include your order number.
If you are supplying your artwork, please either upload your files to our site or email info@myvinylfrontier.com. For files above 8MB, please send to us via wetransfer.com. Please follow the guidelines below when submitting your artwork:
PDF Files
We request all our artwork to be supplied as high resolution (300dpi) using these options:
- Resolution – Choose High Resolution
- Compression Settings – For colour and greyscale this should be down sampled to 300dpi with “auto compression” set on high
- Font Embedding – Should be set to “embed all fonts”
Colour needs to be set as CMYK not RGB (RGB artwork will be converted to CMYK and this could affect your colours).
Illustrator
Include all embedded images and convert all text to curves. Save as an EPS file.
Photoshop
Set Resolution to 300dpi when starting your new document. Save file as either TIFF or JPEG.
Other files not listed above must be saved either as a EPS or JPEG.
Please note: If you need us to make changes to your file (JPEG / EPS), we will require you to re-supply new artwork as either a PSD, PDF or AI file as we are unable to make changes to flattened images (JPEG / EPS / TIFF).
Indesign
Please ensure all fonts and pictures used in your artwork are supplied to us in a separate folder using the “package” function under the “file” menu. Compress the document using Stuffit or WinZip before uploading or sending your order via e-mail.
Please include a PDF. This is for our reference to make sure that nothing is missing or moved on the artwork supplied. Please note that this will be proofed first and could cause a longer delivery time.
Artwork Bleed
It is essential that there is a minimum 3mm bleed around your artwork. This is for cutting purposes. Please note that there is a 2mm tolerance for cutting on all jobs.
Please ensure that the colour is set to CMYK not RGB.
Microsoft Documents
We cannot use the following formats for printing:
- Word
- Excel
- Powerpoint
- Publisher
- Works
Below is a link to a website that can convert any of the above files into a useable PDF, it is easy-to-use and will do it for you right there online. IT’S FREE!
Please supply a screen shot of your Microsoft document before conversion this can be done by the following:
- PC operators – There is a “PRINT SCREEN” button on the keyboard
- Mac operators – Press the “Apple” and “Shift 4” keys, then highlight the area you wish to copy. This saves a PNG copy to your desktop
